Overview
The project included an expansive remodel of an occupied high-end, urban hotel off the Sunset Strip. The Phillipe Starck design transformed this hotel into a L.A. landmark. Special features included a 30’ high, freestanding, mahogany art piece at the entrance, floating light treatments in the lobby, 8” planked maple floors throughout and art deco architectural lighting throughout the lobby, restaurant and entry. Illig Construction completed the entire lobby renovation, upgrade to the restaurant, reconfiguration of the pool and all adjacent areas to construct the popular new Skybar.
