Overview

A new 1,153 seat church was constructed for Holy Trinity Catholic Community serving 2,000 families. The architecture is Spanish mission style and included a new reredos designed and fabricated in Spain. A painting by artist, Joseph Adolphe, was incorporated into the reredos. The artist created the painting at the Diocese of Orange Cultural Center where the public viewed its development. The stained glass for the church was originally from the chapel at Maryvale, the previous Diocesan offices. The structure is steel frame with a 24” mat slab foundation and stained, polished concrete floors. “As a pastor entrusted with a building project, I was told by many that I would be worried, my health would be broken, and that the building process was going to be one of the most difficult things I would ever do as a priest. So while I started the project by trusting in God, I soon found out that I could trust Illig too. Not to over-spiritualize it, but I credit my very positive experience to the fact that we hired Illig. They were a literal 'God send.' Illig made construction so easy, that I’m already ready to start working on the next building project, God willing, without fear or trepidation.” - Fr. Reynold Furrell, Holy Trinity Pastor
