A three-level parking garage and a two-story academic building was constructed with a “green” roof on a hilltop in Bel Air. Phase one of construction included two new administrative buildings in the center of campus while elementary school continued operations. Extensive site work included the hauling of 10,000 cubic yards of soil down a canyon with no impact to surrounding residential neighbors, 800 feet shoring and retaining walls with tie backs into public roads. Construction operations were managed to mitigate impact to on-going school operations and surrounding neighbors. "Our parents were amazed at how quickly the project was built with little impact on our students during construction. Despite a month of rain, Illig Construction still met the schedule and delivered the project significantly below the Guaranteed Maximum Price." - Ray Michaud, Head of School
