Girl Scouts Greater Los Angeles Camp Lakota Groundbreaking
On April 18, 2019, we broke ground for the new Camp Lakota Project for the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles. Camp Lakota is a 60+ acre camp located by Mount Pinos in the Los Padres National Forest. The project consists of a new dining hall, with a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, six villages with restrooms and showers, and 24 cabins built with structurally insulated panels.
GSGLA Leadership, Perkins+Will and the Illig Construction Team toured the site and shared the excitement of realizing the redevelopment of this longstanding flagship camp. They even had a chance to share time with the resident goats who keep the property clear of weeds!
We are excited to deliver these new camp facilities for Girl Scouts to enjoy for decades to come!
